Appointed Givenchy's creative director in March 2005, Italian designer Riccardo Tisci has created a visceral new language for the brand, whilst acknowledging its rich couture legacy.

Aristocratic chic and feminine charm form the core house DNA. Riccardo Tisci has brought a playfulness, sensuality and dark romanticism all of his own. Reworking the classic colour palette of black, white, beige and nude, the designer punctuates his collections with scarlet red, army green or bright block colour and metallics, as well as fierce animal and flower prints. Referencing the mannerism of sportswear, Tisci has evolved Givenchy into a cool, sexy and sophisticated brand that speaks to the lifestyle of today.

“I was always surrounded by women as a child and am very attracted to the feminine world,” Tisci says. “I love the strength and romanticism, which in the end, you can find in my style.”
