Model Angie Ng on…the best gift you’ve ever received

"A year subscription for Blinkist! It wasn’t an expensive gift but it was a gift I wanted and needed. Two birds with one stone!”

Master of Wine Sarah Heller on…
your favourite Christmas memory

“Last year for my son’s first Christmas we were in New Zealand with my husband’s family. Winston was six months old and had just learned to crawl, so he was all over the place, wanting to open everyone’s gifts and crawling all over his cousins.  It really brought a sense of wonder back into the holidays.”

Lane Crawford Creative Call Out 2018 Sydney winner Tom Fereday on ...the most joyful part of Christmas

“Simply stopping from the day-to-day stress of work and life to eat good food with friends and family and enjoy the simple things.”

Chef May Chow on … family traditions

“My favourite memories are the smells and warmth of Christmas - from roasted turkeys and mulled wine, to the fresh pine of real Christmas trees. I am lucky a lot of friends have become a part of my family - we usually have a huge group celebrating together. We always wear ugly festive sweaters, too.”

Makeup artist Alexa Bui on…the best gift you’ve ever received

“Hands down my kids! Although there was one Christmas I did get a Hermès Kelly...”

Entrepreneur Madam Lee on…
favourite Christmas memories

“Back in the day we didn't celebrate Christmas, especially not the way we do today. So here’s one of my first memories around Christmas time. It was during Japanese-occupied Hong Kong. My mother, siblings, and I were separated from my grandparents and uncle in China. We met someone aptly named "Wind of Horse" who could grant us a safe passage back to our village, so we snuck out late at night, and after a few days, we arrived to our home village and were reunited. My uncle had acres of lychee, longan, and guava trees in his orchard, which I had missed so much. The fruit I tasted that December were the sweetest and juiciest I've ever had.”

Lane Crawford Creative Call Out 2018 Sydney runner-up Christian Kimber on ...the most joyful part of Christmas

“As it’s summer in Melbourne, we have a big BBQ at our house for our friends every year. Instead of gifts we’ve started asking them each to bring a donation for a local foodbank which is our small way of trying to share a bit of that joy with others.”

Violinist, DJ and Producer Olivia Dawn on…the best gift you’ve ever received

“If you ask me now, it's probably my Novation Launchkey49 MIDI keyboard.  This thing is my life; I make all my music with it. But if you asked me five or six years ago, definitely my Heelys!  When I was 10 or something, my parents gave me these sneakers with wheels on them.  I don't remember being that excited about anything else.”

Creative Director Vincent Lim on…
favourite Christmas memories

“My wife Elaine and I got our first Christmas tree together when we were living and working in NYC. We spent a whole night selecting and buying each ornament and stayed up past midnight to decorate the tree.”
