1. Victorian Lady’s
Travelling Basket

“This piece, found at an antique market in the English countryside, would have been used in the Victorian times by the ladies of the manor to pack their sandwiches when taking a train journey across the country.”

2. Pair of 1950s Easy Chairs

“Found at a Notting Hill store, I loved these chairs’ unique design, with the gap in the back of the seat. It’s rare to find upholstery from this period, and the vintage Etro print was the icing on the cake.”

3. Vintage School Chalkboard

“This 3-by-1-metre tableax d’ecole is probably from France or Belgium. It caught my eye as, given today’s digital age, I love the idea of a traditional blackboard being used in the office or home, with lists and reminders handwritten in chalk.”

4. A 1950’s Italian Bar

“I’ve always found it extremely civilized that most homes during the Fifties in Europe and America had a small cocktail bar in the corner of the sitting room. I would love to see a return to this trend as opposed to alcoholic beverages being hidden away in cupboards and fridges. Straight from the set of Mad Men, this eye-catching piece was in mint condition, with its very own ice bucket!”

5. Original French Bistro Bar

“I stumbled upon this beauty at the back of a large shop in Antwerp. It was probably used for a patisserie or chocolate shop back in the early 1900s.”

6. A 1960’s Danish Chair by Jean des Bourie

“I fell in love with this simple yet elegant piece at one of the auctions I visited in the south of England. Like so many designs of this period, it’s all about function, beauty and comfort.”
