Piers Atkinson

From his East London studio, Piers Atkinson has been honing his hat-making skills for over a decade. Spearheading a new generation of British milliners who continually push the traditional boundaries of the art of the hat, he crafts pieces from the outrageous and flamboyant to the sophisticated and refined, for the likes of Royal Princesses Eugenie and Beatrice to the Princess of Pop, Lady Gaga.

This season, Atkinson has created an exclusive archive collection for Lane Crawford, re-issuing his most iconic pieces into a Best Of collection. “It was really lovely for me to go back and remake these designs; especially as we have grown so much as a brand since we first made these,” he says. “In fact, some of them were really tricky to make in the way – and to the standard – that we produce hats now.”

Featuring styles from Spring Summer 2009 through to today, this exclusive collection has been given a new-season update for 2015.
