As 3.1 Phillip Lim celebrates its 10th anniversary this season, the brand enlisted the art photographer Viviane Sassen for a campaign that is arrestingly beautiful and challenges conventions. Known for her daring and original eye, the Dutch photographer is internationally renowned for her works in both the fashion and fine art world.

Shot on location in Morocco, Sassen was given complete creative freedom to create art without the traditional restraints of a fashion campaign and the resulting images embody the fearless spirit of Phillip Lim. Capturing a raw purity, the low-key production went back to the drawing board; there was no stylist or hair and makeup artist involved, and the model’s face is largely concealed.
