As far as sartorial choices go, nothing will help you switch off like leaving the baggage at home and opting instead for a light-as-a-feather crossbody. Let the statement size take centre stage and make the rest of your outfit the supporting act, blending effortlessly with calming, neutral tones.
THE OUTSIDE-THE-BOX OFFICE BAG
Vivid colour and boxy shapes call for pared-back garms and a monochromatic palette. Just because your bag is rigid, it doesn’t mean the rest of your outfit should be – slip into a suit with a slightly relaxed fit to soften the overall effect.
THE PLAYFUL EVENING BAG
A dramatic coat or kimono in a flamboyant print would be the perfect match for this whimsical little number that’ll distract from any other elephant in the room. Pair with smart shoes and hardware. Spectacles (whether as a stylistic or sensible choice) are encouraged.
