Lumio is a dynamic, multi-functional LED lamp that unfolds 360º from a wooden book and can be transformed into multiple forms with endless functions. Created by Californian designer Max Gunawan, the project was launched on crowd-funding site Kickstarter to overwhelming demand. Since launching at Lane Crawford, design enthusiasts have fallen in love with its minimalist design and endless configuration, providing an elegant lighting solution at home or on the go.
“The main inspiration for Lumio comes from my childhood experience growing up in Jakarta; living in a small space and having very little. I want to design objects that will help people optimize their living space so they can get more with less. It’s about creating tools for living that can be adapted to meet many different needs and help simplify your life. Lumio is the first out of a series of objects that I will design focusing on simplicity, adaptability and efficient use of space.”

Lumio comes complete with a custom micro-USB charger, magnetic wooden pegs for mounting, and a beautiful leather strap for hanging.
