Since entering the pop scene in 2010, Nicki Minaj has racked up some serious musical accolades, with more than 100 singles and over 400 award nominations to her name. And while music might be her number one calling, her fearless ability to dress loud — and completely own it — comes in a close second.


While the Trini-born Queen of Rap might not be an instantly obvious choice of collaborator for Italian heritage house Fendi, there is, in fact, plenty of synergy at play — Minaj’s fun-filled fashion point of view is the exact embodiment of what the late Karl Lagerfeld injected into Fendi during his 54 years at the helm.


And who doesn’t want to have a little fun?


There’s an oversized reversible puffer in slick silver and a chocolate-hued FF logo motif, a magenta curve-hugging dress, futuristic foiled leggings and a fluoro pink baguette. You’ll also find a nod to hip-hop culture through tracksuits and sweatshirts, including one emblazoned with Minaj’s iconic face. While the capsule is mostly for women, the guys can get in on the fun too with the likes of an oversized metallic windbreaker and matching bucket hat.


The result is a collection filled with pure, unadulterated fashion hedonism. Or as Minaj raps in one of her singles, named after the iconic house, “This Fendi is Poppin’”.


Lane Crawford is one of three multi-brand retailers globally to carry the Fendi Prints On capsule collection, which is in store at Lane Crawford ifc mall from October 16 to October 22.
