Here, she shows Lane Crawford how to master the nightly facial massage routine. The long-term effects of adopting this ritual includes toned contours, improved circulation and skin cell renewal, restored muscle tissue, reduced congestion and breakouts, and an overall youthful vitality to skin. For instant results, the massage works at energising skin for a youthful glow. All in all, the most effective step of your beauty regime yet.
Step one
Start by thoroughly cleansing skin, removing all traces of make up and spritzing skin with a toner. Add a few drops of facial oil or serum into the palms of your hands and rub together. Apply oil on your face, spreading palms from the centre nose area and sweeping outwards and upwards on face, along the jawline, neck and décolletage. The oil should still be sitting at the surface of your skin.
Step Two
Starting with your forehead, use your fingertips to work in a circular motion from the centre outwards to temples. Use the same movement along cheekbones, and from the under eye area to the bridge of nose. Work back and forth. Sweep round to chin and using length of fingers to sweep along jawline and to under the ears and back to centre of chin.
Step Three
Taking your first two fingers with palms facing outwards, draw fingers along the jawline. Bend knuckles to apply a stronger pressure. Repeat 12 times.
Step Four
Split your first two fingers under each eye and push upwards. This will push the muscle tissue in the cheekbone up and relieve tension sitting under this area, while toning and adding volume. Repeat this movement 12 times.
Step Five
Using the same two fingers, place the first finger on the temple area and use the middle finger to gently massage eye area. Do this by softly applying pressure and sweeping the middle finger along the under eye, working to the nose and then when you get to the inner bridge of the nose, work along the eye brow using more pressure while slowly pushing and sweeping towards the outer eyebrow area. Repeat 12 times. Finish by working the remaining oil or serum thoroughly in by flowing fingers around the contours of the face to your own natural preference.
