Beyond Curious by Hinrich Kröger

For the past two years, Diane Nittke, Founder of Ellermann Flower Boutique and Event Atelier, and Berlin’s celebrated painter and ceramic artist, Hinrich Kröger, have been working together on an exclusive collaboration. Rooted in an expression of creativity and imagination, the project marries the forward-thinking spirit of Ellermann with Kröger’s grit, humor, and nostalgia. The result is Beyond Curious, a gallery of hand-painted ceramic vases with a classical-meets-punk aesthetic.

The exhibition consists of three harmonious stories. The first is a series of ten Birds, quirky and fun-filled mythological creatures with a small bird body and large human head. The second is Series X, which pays homage to Ellermann’s recent 10th anniversary. The vases’ numerical symbols and text create bold designs that embody Ellermann’s eclectic floral style. Lastly, the Editions, fourteen head-shaped vases, is a narrative that showcases Kröger’s eccentric and ornate craftsmanship.
