Carven has always been about a clean aesthetic. Established in 1945 by Madame Carven de Tommaso during a period when haute couture celebrated decadence and opulence. Realising an absence of relatable clothes, Madame Carven set out to craft pieces that were chic yet accessible in favour of a liberated style.

Re-launched in 2010 under the creative care of former Givenchy designer Guillaume Henry, the brand has been kick-started with a newer, more playful attitude – a Fashion Week favourite for editors and buyers. Henry’s new vision for the label references images of Madame Carven in the 1950s as well as photos by French photographer Jacques Henri Lartigue. Today, Carven is defined by a distinctively feminine aesthetic with a tangy twist.
