At the heart of Frette lies a commitment to Italian craftsmanship, expressed through our meticulous selection of the world’s finest raw materials. Most of our collection is crafted with cotton, yet only the top 3–4% of cotton fibres globally meet our exacting standards for quality and purity. From there, our artisans weave and finish each piece in Italy with extraordinary care, blending time-honoured techniques with modern innovation.This passion and commitment ensure that every creation reflects not only impeccable quality but also the enduring beauty of Italian mastery.

We do not design solely for beauty; our roots in the high Dolomites have instilled in us a profound respect for resources, nothing goes to waste, and we extract the utmost potential from every material. This philosophy has guided us for nearly a century, passed down through generations, and it is the path we will continue to follow in the decades to come. The perception of art, probably arises naturally from devotion. When one dedicates oneself wholly to a craft, obsession transforms into art in its own right.

Italians are often associated with a certain slowness. Yet in our craft, slowness and patience are not shortcomings—they are the essential ingredients for achieving excellence. Every artisan in our atelier undergoes a long and meticulous apprenticeship, beginning with the fundamentals: learning to understand each natural material, and mastering every delicate step required to bring a piece to its final polish. We have visited Hong Kong on several occasions, most recently in 2024. Each time, the city has captivated us with its unique ability to embody both tradition and modernity simultaneously. It is a place unlike any other, where people possess an exceptionally international and open-minded spirit—an exquisite blend of East and West.

At Moroso, we see design in dialogue with art and life. Our collaborations with visionary designers and artists as well as with young talented designers bring poetry, colour, and cultural references into pieces that are also functional and comfortable. A sofa, for example, can be both a sculpture and a welcoming place to sit.

I grew up in Friuli, surrounded by people who could make things beautifully with their hands. That’s still at the heart of Moroso. Our workshop is like a creative laboratory where artisans follow each piece from start to finish: choosing the right fabrics, perfecting a curve, checking every stitch. It’s a combination of tradition and curiosity for innovation. This is what gives our pieces their soul and ensures they will be loved for many years.

Hong Kong clients are incredibly open-minded and sophisticated. They travel, they see a lot, and they immediately recognise when something has authenticity. They respond to Moroso’s design: our colours, our patterns, the way each piece carries a cultural reference. But they also value comfort and quality, so the dialogue with them is always rich and inspiring.

I want them to feel they have entered our world: full of energy, colours, and unexpected ideas.
