How to Use Every Colour In Your Eyeshadow Palette

While an eyeshadow palette offers a smorgasbord of shades all housed under one roof, most of us tend to stick to our two or three ‘safe’ hues while the rest of the palette goes wastefully untouched.

Be brave and move into an unchartered beauty territory by learning how to use each of those abandoned eyeshadow colours like a pro.

Highlighter Colours

These are the lightest colours in the palette. Instead of just on your eyelids, use these colours on the inner corner of your eyes to open them up, or under your brow to define and enhance your arches.

Contour Colours

These are the darkest, deepest colours in your palette. Each are perfect for defining your top and bottom lash lines – just make sure to use a small angled brush to keep the line neat.

Accent Colours

The brightest, most pigmented colours of the bunch, these hues are the ultimate choice for all over lid colour that pops. Blend all the way up from your lash line to the crease.

Transition Colours

These are the more muted, neutral colours in your palette. Use these as a lid base before accent colours to create an ultra-pigmented effect, or blend from the eye creases outward to soften the edges of a smokey eye.
