Select three to four colours of nail polish for combination.

Paint your nail with one colour to cover the entire nail like a normal manicure and wait to dry.

Apply two to three drops of your second colour, and then with your third and fourth colour.

Use a cuticle stick or cocktail stick to lightly drag the polish across the nail in different directions and swirls.

Seal with a topcoat to finish.

No two nails will be the same due to the marbling design, so get creative with your colours.

Ensure there is a mix of light and dark to make the design ‘pop’ and don’t blend together too much.

The second, third and fourth colours can overlap and even be dropped directly on top of each other to achieve the marbled effect.

Paint the whole nail with a lighter colour and wait to dry.

Starting from the base of the nail, draw a vertical line towards the tip.

Repeat and layer using your selected colours.

Seal with a topcoat.

Start with lighter colours as it is easier to layer and add in darker tones towards the end to finish.

Play with the stripes to create varying thicknesses based on the amount of pressure you apply.

You can do this using a nail art striper brush or even a standard art paintbrush. Clean between switching colours.

Prep nail-shape, buff and cuticle work.

Paint nail white and wait to dry.

Select five to six colours for the dots.

Apply to the nail with a ‘dotting’ action with a nail-dotting tool.

Seal with a topcoat.

The more pressure you apply when dotting, the larger the dot will be.

Dotting tools come in various sizes to create different sizes. You can also use the end of a Kirby grip to achieve the same effect.

Wipe clean with varnish remover between application of each new colour.
