Salone del Mobile 2017 The best of the biggest design show of the year

Set inside a derelict vault in the historic Milano Centrale train station, award-winning British designer Lee Broom celebrated 10 years with his Time Machine installation. Dramatic and modernist, he recreated a fairground carousel that showcased his creative journey over the past decade.

A sight to see: The Cappellini Temporary Tower installation by Leonardo Talarico, standing over the bustling plaza in Brera. Jaws dropped as a mechanical arm suspended a cluster of iconic Tate chairs designed by Jasper Morrison for Cappellini six storeys in the air.

One of our favourite installations at the fair this year was this stunning collaboration, Decode/Recode, by Luca Nichetto and Ben Gorham. A series of 53 glass totems and 20,000 sheets of glass that are inspired by the human form.

May I Have Your Attention Please? Dutch designer Maarten Baas has caught ours with the launch of his new 101 Chair for Lensvelt Design.

At Rossana Orlandi, we entered a creative bazaar, styled to unique perfection with some of the design world’s most respected designers.

At Nilufar Gallery, we explored every nook and cranny of this exhibition dedicated to Joaquin Tenreiro, considered the father of Brazilian design, in dialogue with an installation designed by Michael Anastassiades.
