For seminal British artist Tracey Emin and her long-time friend, jeweller Stephen Webster, their collaborative collection of “wearable art” has been many years in the making. Having met on the clubbing scene over 40 years ago, theirs is a friendship that has seen a meteoric rise in both their incredible careers.

Inspired by her I Promise to Love You collection, which best embodies the spirit of Emin’s work, the collaboration started three years ago with Webster first working from her drawings and sketches. “When I started to look at Tracey’s work, I knew that so much of it would translate perfectly into jewellery,” he says.

Each 18k gold piece is inspired by her iconic neon signs with romantic sayings – ‘More Passion’ - that she describes as “mantras that go round in [my] head” and little drawings of hearts and kisses.

However, it was vitally important to Emin that this not become an elitist collection made only for her art collectors, and that it incorporate plenty of Webster’s signature rock 'n' roll aesthetic. “I love the way Stephen has interpreted my work. The fact that the jewellery has remained classical impresses me. It is also delicate and intricate. It looks so much like me, but very much Stephen,” explains Emin.

The perfect gift for a loved one, this hotly anticipated collection is a rare opportunity to own a piece of Tracey Emin for the everyday.
