Neil Barrett’s Punk and Paisley

Paisley bandanas have been the cover-up of choice for rock‘n’roll renegades, peaceful protestors and wild-west outlaws for decades. British designer Neil Barrett, famed for his pictorial mash-up T-shirts, linear tailoring and sense of graphic punch has reprised the print in an exclusive series for Lane Crawford.

Barrett joined forces with the menswear team on the collaboration of smart thinking basics. The subtle print is incorporated on pieces including a zipper blouson, as a pocket square on a debonair black blazer and as a mash-up ‘man in bandana’ print on a line up of soft cotton T-shirts and sweats in red, white and black. All Hail Haculla

We all know the pain of hitting ‘rock bottom’ when life throws us a curve ball. That state of being feeds the work of Venezuelan street artist, Harif Guzman, who found himself struggling and penniless in the 1990s on arrival in New York. He carried on making extraordinary work and creativity became his salvation. Two of his paintings from the period ‘Bloody Mary Morning’ and ‘Worse Than Death’ are reborn on Haculla’s tees, camo pants and badge sweatshirts. “This important verbiage is shown across the collection as a homage to its meaning and connection to the artist,” says founder of the label, Jon Koon.
