Time for the Autumn fragrance report
With summer’s perpetual heatwave finally coming to a close, we’re in the mood for something new. Here, we roundup what we’re loving this month.
Instant Attraction
Byredo’s latest fragrance Velvet Haze is inspired by the ‘60s and ‘70s music and cultural scene and is perfect for those looking for a natural, woodsy scent. Dominated by strong patchouli and ambrette notes it dries down to a slight musk that is utterly heavenly, making it one of our most favourite finds of the new season,
Nature’s Finest
The masters of the essential oil, Aromatherapy Associates, have released a limited edition Eau de Parfum using the highest quality natural plant extracts. It is everything you would expect from the brand: zesty, reviving and de-stressing all at once. At first spray, the bergamot top note dominates but give it a few minutes and warming floral notes of rose and sandalwood come through and give it a soothing heart.
Modern Classic
A collective sigh of appreciation filtered through the room when Jo Malone’s English Oak & Redcurrant was passed around the room. Distinctly fruity thanks to the redcurrant, it also has at its core, a heart of rose, which comes through when it dries down. If you’re a fan of Blackberry & Bay or Orange Blossom, there is a good chance you’ll love this – it is a Jo Malone classic in the making.
