Los Angeles-based photographer Adam Amengual started young. “My father gave me an old film camera at 13, and I started shooting my friends skateboarding and hanging out around town,” says Amengual. After honing his skills as an assistant for photographers including Danielle Levitt and Art Streiber, Amengual built up his own client base, including clients such as The Hollywood Reporter and The New York Times. “I am always trying to show the viewer how I see the world,” he says. “I think I give the viewer a real connection to the subject. A piece of truth of who or what they are looking at.”
